Are kids allowed?
No. Although we very much love your little ones, the resort is adults-only and children are not allowed.
All wedding events are 18+. While Mexico is very child-friendly, if you do decide to bring them to Mexico, you will need to consider a sitter for Friday & Saturday night.
what is the dress code?
The attire to our wedding ceremony and reception is formal. Ladies, we do recommend a block heel as our ceremony will happen on the sand.
If you're staying at Secrets Tulum please check the hotel website or app to see the dress codes for each restaurant. Typically, long pants and closed toed shoes are required for men.
Does Tulum have Taxi's or UBer?
Tulum does not currently have Uber, but they do have taxis! Wherever you are staying can typically coordinate a taxi ride for you. Just keep in mind they only take cash and speak little to no English.
Prices vary but a 10-minute taxi ride can cost anywhere from $20-$60 USD.
What is the weather in tulum?
The weather in Tulum in April has an average daily temperature from 75°F to 88°F. The mornings and evenings are usually cooler, while the afternoons can get quite hot. It is advised to pack lightweight clothing and use sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun's strong rays.
Do I need a Passport?
Yes! You must a valid US Passport to enter Mexico and return to the United States. Your passport should NOT be set to expire within 6 months or less before you are set to travel.
CAN I PAY WITH POINTS FOR MY STAY AT SECRETS TULUM?
Yes! If you are a member of World of Hyatt or choose to use credit card points, You are more than welcome to book your stay that way. However you won't receive the discount that is applied to our room block. That discount can only be applied to those not using points. If you do choose to book using points, please make sure the resort knows you are part of the wedding.
WHEN DO I NEED TO BOOK MY STAY BY?
If you are staying at Secrets Tulum and would like to take advantage of our room block's discount - you must book no later than November 15th 2024. You are welcome to stay elsewhere (please see the travel page for more details). You are also welcome to book your stay at Secrets Tulum after that date, however keep in mind you will not have access to the room block discount after that day.
I booked my stay at secrets tulum through the room block ... now what?
Hooray! The important date to keep in mind is November 15th 2024. That is when your stay must be paid in full. You are welcome to pay ahead of time, or save on a plan that is comfortable for you in the interim. Please do whatever works best for you, just keep in mind that expense must be paid in full no later than November 15, 2024.
I FOUND A BETTER PRICE THAN YOUR ROOM BLOCK - IS THERE PRICE MATCHING?
Yes! There are specifc rules and regulations for price matching.

Is there a dress code?
Yes. We request formal attire for our wedding day. For men, a tuxedo isn't required, but can still be worn if preferred. If opting for a suit, however, a formal dark suit, white shirt, and a conservative tie are acceptable. For women, a floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit are acceptable. While our ceremony is on the beach, the reception will be in a ballroom.
What do I wear to the welcome party?
We're kicking off the weekend with a Disco Jungle Party at Secrets Tulum. The welcome party will be at the Edgewater Pool. If you can't find it, ask a staff member and they'll direct you.
We've put together a mood board to give you some inspiration. Think bright colors, floral prints - we want you to have fun with color this night!
Where are you registered?
Traveling down to Mexico to celebrate our lives and love story is a gift enough. Should you choose to honor us with a gift, please check back soon for a registry.

If you plan to honor us with a cash gift, we ask that you mail it to us as we don't feel comfortable traveling internationally with large sums of cash. Thank you for understanding.
